Record Investment on Green Power 2015

Clean energy investment worldwide attained a record of $329.3 billion in 2015 since investors shrugged off decreasing fossil fuel prices and

currency fluctuations and installed the highest ever amount of green power capacity, as shown in a research on Thursday.

The most renewable energy investments in 2015 was made by China, or $110.5 billion, which is 17 percent more than in 2014. Other developing markets also registered significant gains, such as South Africa, Chile and Mexico. Investment in clean sources of energy, such as wind and solar, was 4 percent higher than 2014's revised figure of $315.9 billion and was almost six times the quantity of 2004, according to a Bloomberg New Energy Finance report.
